What is Sorrel?

Sorrel is Jamaica's version of a Hibiscus drink, made from the Roselle Hibiscus flower, aka sorrel. This plant comes into season in the Caribbean around November, so it has become a staple for Jamaican holiday gatherings. But the flower petals can be dried and stored to be enjoued year-round. Recipe by my Mother :D

Ingredients

This drink is typically made for gatherings, so this recipe can serve up to 16. Everyone makes sorrel differently, so some ingredients may be optional based on personal taste!

Instructions

This drink can be stored in the fridge, or in a cool dark place for up to a year. If you're planning to serve this drink, it is reccomended to make it a couple days in advance. It'll get better with age!
